Ukrainian Independence Day in Trim — BBQ Evening 2025

The Ukrainian community of County Meath recently held a wonderful event to celebrate Ukrainian Independence Day. The event brought together Ukrainians in the region, provided an opportunity to meet, make new friends and celebrate in a warm and joyful atmosphere.

The celebration included speeches by Irish volunteers, performances by Ukrainian cultural groups with songs, a speech by the community leader, a fun quiz and a vibrant craft fair.

It was a day of friendship, laughter and cultural exchange - a true example of unity and support between the Irish and Ukrainian communities.

Humanitarian convoy is heading to Ukraine!

The team, led by Stockhouse 4x4 and supported by charities Sunflower Network and Trinity Ukraine, have spent the last few months raising funds and supplies for this mission. This is their seventh mission; on previous trips they have delivered 63 vehicles to Ukraine, including eight ambulances. Before setting off, the convoy was blessed by priests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, who sent the mission forward with their blessings. Thank you to everyone who joined this mission! We continue to believe in the power of solidarity and compassion.
12 four-wheel drive vehicles, a minibus and an ambulance have set off on a 2,500-mile journey. They are carrying 35 generators, medicines and other essential items to support Ukrainians during this difficult time. The convoy is expected to arrive in Lviv.
